Many people, including Indians, have asked about the meaning of our name. Yuyam means "You all" in Sanskrit, a classical language of India that belongs to the Indo-European language family. Some believe that English word  "You" is derived from this ancient Sanskrit word  "Yuyam".

yuyam.com is the FIRST language-neutral social-media social-networking portal for Indians across the world. It is conceived as the service that shall let you share, network and communicate better on the web. As the name suggests, it is completely powered by YOU. We provide the layout and the tools and you are in total control of the site. In this first phase of our rollout, you discover content in any Indian language and share it with the others (public or friends). You discuss and recommend these stories so that they are given the enough attention on the world stage.

We provide powerful tools to search the Indian language content across the web. Yuyam.com also shall have a huge repository of the links to the digital content and it can be accessed by our search tools.

Based in Silicon Valley, Yuyam team is passionate to provide the true web 2.0 experience in various Indian languages. We are launching the beta in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Other languages will be launched shortly.
